Please be aware of scams through which some unscrupulous characters are trying to extract exorbitant payments from you. They are in NO WAY affiliated with USAGCLS, even though they take the liberty of using our name and web address in the letter. Please see the below letter and notice several worrisome facts:
The notice was sent by email. Official winning notices are send ONLY by postal mail! No exceptions. If it arrives by email, it’s a fraud.
The sender uses our name (USAGCLS) in his email address (an Israeli one), as well as listing it at the bottom of the letter. He is doing so to gain credibility and to divert attention from himself to us in case there were problems.
The sender is asking the “winner” to call and does not provide any mailing address to mail in supporting documentation about his/her case. Again, this is a red flag. Instead, he asks the “winner” to make a call and probably asks for a payment over the phone.
If you receive these types of notices, please refer to the above 3 points and an example of a letter below to determine it’s authenticity. View example of a fraud letter HERE.

Dear Customer Relations In charge
Thank you for your kind and prompt reply. May I request you to kindly verify the authenticity of the attached email sent to me in connection with the US Green Card (DV 2007). It is very vital for me to find out whether the attached email is false or not. My beloved late husband and I filled the DV application separately in 2004. We both are Iranian national. He died in a car accident two and a half year ego. I was so devastated that I did not feel like making any decision. We have a seven years old daughter and I will have to make sure she has a decent future. Could you kindly verify if the attached file is authentic or not?
Best regards
Marvin Schuyler
