LaesrCard Corp. said Thursday it signed a $3 million contract to supply optical memory cards to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's "green card" program.
Mountain View-based LaserCard (NASDAQ:LCRD) said the order, issued by the prime contractor to the Citizenship and Immigration Services agency of DHS, calls for deliveries beginning in March 2008 and continuing through LaserCard's fiscal 2009 first quarter ending in June.
"We are pleased to see the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's continued commitment to the optical memory card for this mission critical homeland security application," said Bernard Bailey, LaserCard Chairman of the Board.
The company said its revenue from the Green Card program has averaged about $6 million annually over the last two years.
